  WTF IS GAME OF RHONES?

  THE celebration of the great grape varieties of the Rhone Valley. Think Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Viognier, Marsanne and more all from some of the best wine producers in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

  This combative celebration sees country versus country, regions vs region and producer vs producer with you, the people, deciding if there is one wine to rule them all.

  With over 100 wines on tasting, the range of styles, characters and diversity will be an all out assault on the senses.

  Yes, there will be something there for everyone.

  We’ve amassed a posse of brilliant producers from all corners of Australia as well some across the narrow Tasman sea that is wild land of New Zealand. There will also be wines from ‘Beyond the Wall’ the RHONE BAR.

  TICKETS ARE $60

  Tickets are $60 each and include an EPIC PLUMM VINTAGE RED a wine glass (valued at $35), not to mention the tasting experience with over 100 wines. Let’s repeat that: a tasting experience with over 100 wines.

  DRESS CODE?

  We’re going with casual. Unless you’re in a fancy dress – let’s just say if you come as your favourite character, we won’t be offended…

  FOOD?

  Your thirst will be quenched though a hearty feed will be in order and we’ll have hearty fare on offer to relieve your hunger pains. And by food, we mean MEAT broken down for your carnivorous pleasure.

  (Unless of course you’re vegetarian and in that case, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered)

  WINES

Member prize draw

Members’ prize draw is at each meeting, but you must be present to win. We also have a raffle draw to be won. Purchase your tickets at the door and be in to win.

Drinking and driving

Members will be aware of lowering drink/drive limits from December 2014. If unsure, read the Land Transport Amendment Act (no 2) 2014. We ask members to be conscious of these limits. For those driving, water and some food are provided or think about a designated driver, taxi, Uber, or dial-a-driver to get you home safely.

Anne is collecting them to give to the Lions organised Kan Tabs for Kids. No food lids or beer tops, please. Save and bring them to the next monthly meeting.
