7 Oct 2015
Hi, The Cellar Club,
Thursday is a massive day for all of us – marking the anniversary of when Captain Cook discovered and set foot on New Zealand soil. Gisborne is the place of this historic moment.
To celebrate this monumental event – we are matching the anniversary with an online discount across all our wines.
Landing day was 8th October 1769. This year marks the 246th anniversary – not that long! In recognition of this event, we are offering a discount of 24.6% across our range of wines. This includes all of our range – Wrights range (reserve and classic), Natural Wine Co range, Verjuice and Olive Oil. When you go to Check Out – in the Coupon area enter ‘captain’ all lower case.
This great deal expires this Thursday. If you have not tried our wines yet, here’s your chance to discover our organic wines. All being equal – organic is the best choice for you, our environment and our neighbours. Here is a link to a story in the NZ Herald – Wine Region hit with children cancer scare – 5 times as much on average. Lucky for us we do not use any pesticides, herbicides or systemic fungicides in our vineyards. Unlucky for us is that a lot of our conventional growers in New Zealand do. The chemical debate always seems to raise some eyebrows – I wonder why?
We are also offering you the chance to join our wine club – this is where you get 3 bottles a month for $60 or 6 bottles for $120 – fantastic value delivered freight free to any door in New Zealand. If you join up this week, we will also include a complimentary bottle of Vintage Methode Traditionnelle worth $40 (3 bottle members) or our Vintage Magnum (1500ml) valued $95 (6 bottle members). This deal excludes the Captain Cook discount.
Here are the links to the two wine club options, just click through to join – Wine Club 3 Bottle Deal and Wine Club 6 Bottle Deal. We will then be in touch with our account details for you to set up your direct credit. With this great deal, we expect new wine club customers to join up for a 1 year period. If you are an existing customer and have been with us for 1 year, we have a little something for you to say thanks.
Also, the Wine and Food Festival is this Labour Weekend in Gisborne. The event is being held at the cellar doors. Bus tickets are available to commute between the venues. Tickets are very limited and can be picked up at Gisborne Wine Centre and Gisborne I-Site.
